Mount Waverley Cricket Club Blast Cricket 2026/27

Blast Program Overview

The Mount Waverley Cricket Club will again be running a Woolworths Cricket Blast program across the 2026/27 cricket season. This program is designed for boys and girls between 5 and 10 years of age. It aims to share the basic skills of batting, bowling, throwing and fielding in a fun and friendly environment. Children are encouraged to practice at home with their families, to watch cricket and learn a basic understanding of the game.

This program is led by experienced coaches who are supported by developing young coaches. We also welcome and encourage all parents, regardless of their skill levels, to participate in the very rewarding process of their children’s cricket development.

The primary focus at this age group is to provide a positive, enjoyable introduction to the game of cricket using a variety of activities which develop basic cricket skills, physical fitness and encourage social interaction and team building in our community-based club environment.

Program Details

Format:

1 – 6 weeks between Friday October 23^rd to November 27^th, 2026

2 – 4 weeks between Friday February 5^th to February 26^th, 2027

Session Duration:

Fridays 5:25pm to 7:00pm

Where:

Mount Waverley Reserve, Charles Street, Mount Waverley (in front of the pavilion)

Who:

Girls and boys between the ages of 5 and 10 years*
